Week 4
Post-production
After the individual meeting with the instructor and some more thinking, I ended up scrapping the idea of the ocean shots and going for a different narrative. My narrative used to be focused on the sink water being reintroduced to the environment but it appeared as if the story wasn’t strong enough. Now, the narrative focuses on the loop that water from a sink does to be cleaned and then reused. Due to this, I had to choose other images and ended up with 10 images for the final shots.
Note: I had a complication while importing my RAW images and ended up losing the RAW format. Due to this, I don’t have the EXIF in LRC but I have the same details shown in my camera. I also tried renting an SD card reader from NIC but it was broken so I couldn’t use it either way. I consulted with the instructor but didn’t get any response so this is how I’ll show the EXIF data per image.

Update: Got a hold of a working SD Card reader!

Editing
Most of the edits for the indoor photos involved white balancing and tinting to remove the very warm tone most of them had. I had to increase exposure and play around with luminance and color for noise reduction since some of the images had high ISO due to the low light in my apartment and the fact that I needed to use a faster shutter speed to capture the droplets and ripples of water in my images.
The only image I needed to edit in PhotoShop was the image of the water plant. I used spot healing and context-aware filling to remove the lamp post on the upper right corner of the image.
