TECH EX 01 Video Editing the Basics
This tech exercise taught us the basics of how to use the Premiere Pro program. It told us how to cut, reverse, add transitions, etc. to a video we are editing.
TECH EX 02 Green Screen Edit
In this exercise, we were taught how to use the chroma keying tool to remove a green screen and add a new background to our videos. This exercise was a warmup for our solo green screen projects.
TECH EX 03 Sound Edit Premiere Pro
In this exercise, we learned the basics of audio editing in Premiere Pro. We were taught how to edit the volume or gain of our audio so that it doesn’t harm our hearing, how to remove unwanted sounds in our audio, how to use background noise to our advantage, and how to edit the way our audio sounds depending on the mood we want to evoke. We also learned how to cut and group audio clips together.
TECH EX 04 Split Screen
In this exercise, we were taught how to use the split screen method in video editing. We learned how to move a clip’s position on our screen and how to place another one and have them play side by side. We also learned how to place a clip on top of another and have them play simultaneously and still be visible because one is more opaque than the other.
TECH EX 05 Masking
In this exercise, we learned how to use the masking tool in Premiere Pro. Personally, this was a revisit to this topic because I was in FIN200. I took on the challenge to make a person’s face pop in a video with the masking tool and lumetri color.
