1. Team Communication: Slack
- Slack allows us to use instant messaging so that we are always able to be in contact with one another. Unlike Facebook, Slack allows us to create channels to organize our conversations, add threads to those conversations and archive our channels so that we always have an easily searchable record of previous discussions. Slack integrates with Google Docs so we can share files easily.
- A potential problem is that it may be difficult to find conversations when there are a lot of different channels and private messages.
2. Document Sharing: Google Drive
- Google Drive allows us to share files easily. We can use Google Drive to share multiple types of documents like pdfs, word documents, excel sheets, etc. Other than just sharing files it allows us to collaborate as a team in the creation of a file as well, so everyone can edit a file at once if needed.
3. Version Control: GitHub
- GitHub allows us to keep track of the different versions and modifications done to our code. GitHub also allows for collaboration in our projects so everyone can edit the code if they have access and if it is needed (i.e for proofreading). By using GitHubs commits we can control the changes that are made to the project and go back to review any changes that were made.
4. Prototyping: InVision
- InVision allows us to prototype our project in a very organized and smooth manner. It allows us to collaborate at any stage in the prototyping process, whether it be in the design or the development area. It comes with a lot of useful tools like pre-built templates, the ability to incorporate animations into the prototype, and it works well with other apps we might use just like Slack and Google Docs.
5. Time Tracking: ezClocker
- ezClocker allows us as a small team to do time tracking and scheduling. It is a budget app that is made simple so that anybody can use it without complications. This app allows us to do tracking and clocking in while we work remotely.
6. Project Management: InVision
- InVision has a built in project management page that can be useful to us as well. It allows us to set items as To-Do, In Progress, Needs Review, and Approved.
7. Code testing: Testim
- Testim allows us to do faster texing of our code so we can find bugs and fix them in no time. It allows us to run cross-browser tests and it pairs well with GitHub and Slack.
8. Digital Marketing Analytics: Singular
- Singular allows us to connect our marketing data from anywhere into their own platform. It allows us to accurately determine cross-platform analytics and provides us with Return on Investment reports.
9. SEO: SE Ranking
- SE Ranking provides us with the ability to see real-time ranking of keywords across major search engines. It also allows us to see they keywords that our competitors are using and it allows us to keep track of our project’s backlinks.
10. Page Speed Testing: Sematext Synthetics
- Synthetics allows us to monitor the performance of our project across multiple devices and browsers, website uptime, and others. It allows us to monitor the availability and response time of our site by measuring our page load performance.
